Portable Windows companion
Connect browser tools to your Windows PC
The Local Agent gives selected MyDevTools tools an explicitly authorized capability on your machine. It is portable, account-free and controlled from the Windows tray.
Download, run and pair
There is no installer. Keep the executable in a location you control and launch it when a supported tool asks for the agent.
- 1
Download
Save the executable in a permanent folder. Moving or deleting it later affects autostart.
- 2
Run
Open the executable. Windows may ask you to confirm running a downloaded app; administrator access is not required.
- 3
Pair
Enter the fresh code shown by the agent into the MyDevTools tool. Pairing grants only the capability that tool requests.
A narrow permission model
The agent is not an account, remote service or general command runner.
- No sign-up, login or MyDevTools cloud proxy.
- No administrator rights, installer or Windows Service.
- A rotating one-time code starts an in-memory, time-limited browser session.
- It listens only on this PC. HTTP requests go directly from the agent to the target and private-network targets are blocked by default.
You stay in control
Closing the small window hides it; the tray icon opens it again.
- View the version and current pairing code.
- Autostart is opt-in and off by default. It uses your Windows user settings and the executable must remain in place.
- Exit stops the local server and revokes active sessions completely.
Available capability
This release supports explicitly paired HTTP requests. Each tool asks for its own named capability; pairing does not grant future capabilities automatically.
Verify the download
This executable is not digitally signed; Windows SmartScreen may warn or block it. Do not disable Windows protection. Compare the SHA-256 value above with the downloaded file to check integrity; a matching hash is not a publisher signature.
