PDF Page Organizer shows every page of a PDF as a thumbnail so you can rotate, delete and reorder pages, then save one PDF or split it into several files. Everything runs in your browser; the document is not uploaded.

Detailed Functionality

Open a PDF and each page appears as a card with its preview, paper size and position. Select pages with the checkbox or by clicking the thumbnail, then Rotate left, Rotate right or Delete them together, or use the buttons on a single card. Change the order by dragging cards or with Move earlier and Move later; a moved page shows where it came from (“from p. 7”). Reset returns to the original order.

Save offers three outputs: One PDF with the pages above, Split every N pages, and Split by ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-, where positions refer to the order on screen and each range becomes its own file (8- means to the last page, 5-3 runs backwards). Split parts are listed with their page count and size and can be downloaded one by one or together as a ZIP.

Pages are moved, not re-rendered: text, fonts, images and vector graphics stay exactly as in the source, and rotation is stored as the page's /Rotate value, so nothing loses quality. The work runs in a Web Worker with Rust/WebAssembly (lopdf); previews are drawn by pdf.js only for pages near the screen. When pages are deleted, bookmarks, named destinations, the accessibility tag tree, links to removed pages and form fields that existed only on them are dropped so the output does not carry removed pages along; reordering drops custom page labels. Password-protected PDFs that need a password to open are refused.

Practical Examples

Fix scanned pages: a scan has pages 2 and 5 upside down — select both, press Rotate right twice and Create PDF; the result is scan_organized.pdf with all pages upright.

Extract chapters: choose Split by ranges and type 1-12, 13-30, 31- to get book_p1-12.pdf, book_p13-30.pdf and book_p31-48.pdf for a 48-page book, or press Download all (ZIP).

One file per page: choose Split every N pages with 1 to turn a 10-page invoice batch into ten single-page PDFs.

Remove a blank page and move the cover: delete the empty page, drag the cover card to the first place and create the PDF.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Open the PDF

Drop a PDF onto Drop a PDF here or click Choose PDF. Thumbnails appear as the pages load.

  2. Edit pages

Select pages and use Rotate left, Rotate right or Delete, or the buttons on each card. Drag cards or use the arrows to change the order.

  3. Choose the output

Under Save pick one PDF, Split every N pages or Split by ranges and fill in the number or ranges.

  4. Create and download

Click Create PDF or Split PDF, then download each file or all parts as a ZIP.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Ranges count positions after your edits: if you moved or deleted pages, the numbers follow the order you see.
  • Rotation is lossless; rotating four times brings the page back to its original state.
  • To pull a few pages out of a large file, use Split by ranges with just those pages, for example 4, 9-10.
  • Bookmarks are kept when you only rotate or reorder pages; deleting pages or splitting removes them because they could point to pages that are not in the file.
  • To combine several PDFs first, use PDF Merger, then organize the merged file here.
